What is IELTS Writing Assist?

IELTS Writing Assist is an official preparation tool from IDP Education for test takers who need to boost their Writing scores.

・Complete practice Writing tasks online and receive a personalised report from an IELTS Coach with detailed feedback on your task response, coherence and cohesion, lexical resource, grammar and accuracy. 

・Receive a detailed action plan with suggestions and resources to improve your written English, including your use of articles, subject-verb agreement, verb tenses, singular and plural nouns and general English advice. 

How does IELTS Writing Assist work?

• Register for IELTS Writing Assist 

  Select the task you want to try from the list of “Products” below, go to the checkout page, and enter your name and email address.

• Enter “Speacial Code” to get a one-time free offer

  When you book your IELTS test wit JSAF, you will receive a one-time free use [special code] in your booking confirmation email. Enter the “special code” in the “Discount code” box at the top of the checkout page and click “Apply” on the right to confirm that $39.00 AUD is now $0.00AUD.

• Complete payment

  Once payment is completed, you will receive an email with the information you need to log in to IELTS Writing Assist Online portal and detailed instructions on how to use it.

• Submit two Writing tasks 

  Complete both tasks (Task 1 and Task 2) online in a 1-hour time limit in a quiet environment without using a dictionary. 

• Receive your personalised feedback and action plan from an IELTS Coach 

  You will receive a detailed and personalised report on your writing skills indicating your strengths and weaknesses and strategies for improvement via an action plan.

• How do I pay for IELTS Writing Assist?

  Payment can only be made by Paypal. Payment will be made using VISA, MasterCard, or other credit cards that you have set up in your account in advance.

• How many practice tasks can I get?

  You will get two practice tasks according to IELTS Academic or IELTS General Training. In IELTS Academic Writing Task 1, you will be asked to describe a diagram (graph, table, chart, diagram) in your own words. In Task 1 of IELTS General Training, you will be asked to imagine a situation, for example, writing a letter, asking for information, or explaining a situation. In Task 2, you will be asked to write an essay about a point of view, an issue, or a problem.

• I don’t know how to log in. How do I access the portal site?

  Please make sure that you have received the following three e-mails and follow the instructions in the email to log in.

  1) Your IELTS Receipt
  2) Welcome to IELTS Assist Portal
  3) Begin your IELTS Writing Assist Academic/General Training tasks

  If you haven’t received the emails, please check your junk mail folder first. If you still encounter an issue, contact IDP customer support with your name, registered email address, module, and purchase date.

• How many days do I have to submit my responses after registration?

  You have 30 days after registration to send us your task responses. 5 days after registration, you will receive a reminder email if your tasks have not been submitted.

• Who will grade my tasks?

  IELTS Coaches are well trained and experienced, and have a broad understanding of the IELTS test.
